Short version: only what is needed

PlainBilling privacy notice

PlainBilling uses the details you submit to manage the waitlist, answer your questions and prepare a migration enquiry. Tally will process the live form once connected. The current fallback opens your email app and stores nothing on this site. GoatCounter provides limited, privacy-focused traffic measurement without advertising profiles.

Who is responsible

PlainBilling is run by Jan. Contact hello@plainbilling.com for privacy questions or requests.

Waitlist and enquiry data

The waitlist asks for your email address, current email tool, list-size range and biggest pain. The purpose is to manage interest, qualify migration enquiries and contact you when the service opens. The lawful basis is your consent when you submit the form and legitimate interests when replying to an enquiry.

Tally

The live Tally embed is not connected yet. When the operator adds it, Tally will process submitted form data on PlainBilling's behalf. This notice should be checked against the final Tally workspace settings, retention period and data-processing terms before launch.

Fallback email form

The native fallback uses a mailto action. It opens your device's email application and does not send data to a PlainBilling server. Your email provider will process the message under its own terms.

GoatCounter analytics

GoatCounter is used for aggregate traffic measurement. PlainBilling does not use Google Analytics, ad tracking or cross-site marketing profiles. Server logs may still be processed by the hosting provider for security and delivery.

Retention and sharing

Waitlist details should be deleted when they are no longer needed for the service or when you withdraw consent, subject to any legal record-keeping need. Data is not sold. It may be handled by Tally, email and hosting providers only as needed to run the site and respond.

Your GDPR rights

You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection where the law provides it. You may withdraw waitlist consent at any time by emailing Jan. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

TODO for operator before launch: confirm the Tally account, retention settings, hosting provider and any required business address.
